Christmas 2007

Family Christmas

We had Christmas at the Wongs, just like last year but without Byran.

Someone broke the sombre atmosphere and the camera caught this photo.

It was great to see Andrew, Alex and Dave at the Wongs on Christmas Eve. Willing to spend some time out for one of their party people they are missing. It's hard when the first of a generation departs.

As I grow older, more and more of my elders are passing on and now more often persons from my generation. It's hard not to dwell on the memories of lost moments but thankfully they are punctuated with moments of sheer delight, as we move onto new experiences in new places.

Happy New Year Everyone.

It's a very strange feeling when people from your own generation start passing on, similar to the feeling of seeing your friends getting married. They're buying houses now, and soon they'll be having kids.

It's another time stamp, another reminder that the days never cease to continue. The holidays are a nice way to celebrate this, bittersweet as they can be, because they can be spent in the company of friends and family.

I'm never surprised when Andrew, Alex, and Dave are somewhere supporting someone. They're very considerate and compassionate people, with a strong sense of responsibility. They were all lucky to have friends like each other.
